About Chamorro:

Chamorro language is the language of Malayo-Polynesian and it is spoken by about 47,000 people in Mariana Islands including Saipan, Tinian, Rota, and Guam. There are 35,000 people who used this language in Guam, and 12,000 people in Northern part of Mariana Islands. The Chamorro language suffered suppression in early years where younger generations were not familiar in speaking the language. This decline was brought by the influence of English language where Americans have completely banned this language in all schools in 1922, and get all the Chamorro language and burned it. The fluency of this language decreased due to American rule which is in favor for American English.
